Contemporary Christians know that God answers prayer and that praying is important, but most also wish their prayer life could be more effective. Murray instructs readers from Scripture and the life of Jesus that prayer is the root and strength of all work for God, that God intends to answer every prayer, and that prayer is meant to be a way of life. These thirty-one classic meditations, written in 1885, have been edited and clarified for new readers.
This beautifully packaged book of substance—Teach Me to Pray—is a collection of carefully-excerpted devotionals from the writings of Andrew Murray. Bringing together 180 selections from Murray’s writings, it addresses issues like the Holy Spirit, faith, obedience, love, and more. Text is lightly updated for ease of reading, and handsomely packaged for gift-giving.

Let’s face it. Most of us are clueless when it comes to praying. Why is that? And how come we’ve never done anything about it? In Confessions of a Prayer Slacker, author Diane Moody traces her own personal prayer journey with a touch of humor and a healthy dose of transparency.
”I want my readers to stop the merry-go-round of prayerlessness, quit acting like a bunch of spiritual babies, and get serious about this thing called prayer. Without it, we’ll never experience the warm, one-on-one relationship God desires to have with each one of us.”
Written to the slacker in all of us, Diane Moody turns our ‘tired’ into triumph by helping us clear the path to meaningful time with God.”–Nicole Johnson, author and dramatist with Women of Faith
“I’ve read several books about prayer over the years but this one is by far my favorite! Diane is a gifted writer who will help you uncover so many misconceptions you’ve picked up which have damaged your prayer life over the years. I can’t tell you how many ‘ah-ha’ moments I had in the midst of this enlightening, inspiring, read. I’ve been inspired to start an entire new prayer journey!”–Pete Wilson, author of Plan B and Empty Promises
With fresh writing and transparent stories, Diane Moody has done more thancraft a book. She’s shared her heart in a way that I was inspired to seek toknow God better, deeper. I have to admit once I started reading Confessions of aPrayer Slacker, I couldn’t read more than a few pages at a time. Why? My heartwas so pricked I had to put down the book and PRAY! Success indeed!”–Tricia Goyer, author of twenty-four books, including Blue Like Play Dough:The Shape of Motherhood in the Grip of God

God provided everything we need to understand regarding servant leadership through stories in the Bible. The Bible is the ultimate leadership book. Over the past one hundred years business leaders have become more and more separated from the work of God’s church. A pastor or priest is admired as the highest form of spiritual leader in the community. God never intended for spiritual leaders to lead only in our churches. We need spiritual leaders in our businesses, governments, communities, and nonprofit organizations.
Everyone is a leader in some aspect of his life. Popular culture places top-level executives, sports pros, politicians, and movie stars in high standing as leaders. But Jesus has a purpose and leadership position for everyone, whether that purpose is big and challenging or simple and mundane.
Everyone is a leader. These prayers for leaders will draw you closer to Jesus while uncovering the leadership talents God gives you in the areas in which you serve. Our hope is that these verses and prayers will strengthen your prayer time with Jesus regarding your leadership characteristics and impact on others. Communicate with God every day and enrich your life and journey with Him.
These 40 prayers are based on Christ-like leadership characteristics and biblical leaders. Some of the prayers relate to a biblical story. If you are unfamiliar with the Bible stories, read theBbible verse first and then read the prayer. If you want to read the full Bible story of the leaders highlighted in this book, read the full chapter or chapters surrounding the Bible verse.
Leaders are role models for future generations. There is a lack of spiritual leadership in our country, which leads to moral decay. This is a critical time because we are in need of honest, visionary, Christ-like leaders around the world. We need leaders, like Jesus, who are not afraid to speak the truth; a leader who is morally ethical, just, and compassionate; a leader who prays and is humble; one who leads with the guidance of God’s right hand and a Bible on his desk. Where are these leaders? Are you one?
To God be the glory,

Jesus is still He who heals both soul and body. Salvation offers holiness and healing, and the Holy Spirit is willing to give us a manifestation of His power. When we ask why this divine power is not more often seen, the only biblical answer to be found is: “Because of your unbelief.”
Health as well as salvation is to be obtained by faith. The natural tendency of man is to bring about his salvation by his works, and it is only with difficulty that he comes to receive it by faith. But when it is a question of healing the body, he has still more difficulty grasping that truth. As to salvation, he finally accepts it because there is no other way to open the door of heaven. But for the body, he makes use of many other treatments. But happy is he who understands that it is the will of God to show the power of Jesus and to reveal to us His Fatherly love by healing physically as well as spiritually. By doing so, He increases and confirms our faith and teaches us that He demonstrates the power of redemption in the body as well as in the soul.
This book provides biblical clarity concerning divine healing, and supplies basic and applicable principles necessary to having faith concerning healing. The author makes it very clear that we are not healed based on who we are, but based on who Christ is.
