How do you discover who you were created to be?
Some books will tell you the answer is found by controlling your fears or managing your emotions. But how do feelings help you know your purpose in life? Other books delve mystically into discussions about harnessing your sun sign, tapping into your source energy, or igniting a spark of divinity inside you. At best those answers seem vague, at worst they’re just plain weird. In the end, people searching for answers in those books come away frustrated and confused.
In Finding the True You, you will not read much about managing your emotions, drilling for your source energy, getting blinded by your sun sign, or sparking out. What you will find are the Bible’s answers to life’s most important questions: Who am I, and what is my purpose?
As you read you will realize that you are God’s masterpiece created to do things that you can’t even yet imagine. You will come away inspired and ready to grab hold of the Lord’s amazing plan for your life!

Every woman I have ever met has been burned by the desire to be good enough. And I’ve met many, many women who struggle to believe they are beautiful because their husband’s or boyfriend’s pornography addiction. After I discovered my husband’s pornography addiction, I blogged about the healing process we went through together. I was stunned by the number of women who contacted me, struggling to find their worth in the aftermath of porn crashing through the door of their marriages.
The porn industry is a billion dollar industry. It’s everywhere. And it’s affecting marriages across the globe. I thought I would have found helpful, relevant resources to aid me in healing from the damage porn caused to our marriage, but most resources said the same things over and over: “Don’t look to men for validation; look to God.” I knew that, but I wanted something deeper, something that reached into the heart of the woman healing from the pain of her husband’s porn addiction.
In More than Desire: Hope for Women in the Shadows of Pornography, I dig deeper to help women discover why their husband’s porn struggle hurts so much, how porn destroys lives, and how they can actually find hope and healing for their own hearts and their relationships.
What are you doing the rest of your life?
Third Calling is a powerful book about finding purpose, passion and spiritual significance in a new season of life.
Young adulthood offers opportunities to grow-up, pursue education, perhaps marry, start a family, and get established—the First Calling. Before long, it’s time to develop careers, establish reputations, raise children, and care for elder parents—the Second Calling.
Then, something transformational happens; maybe the nest empties, turning a certain age is celebrated or a career ends. It is a new season—the Third Calling. It is a fresh period filled with possibilities and opportunities. And while God has had a plan all along, He has great things in store for the future. He uniquely designed each individual, packed lives with exceptional experiences and placed within every heart a passion for his world and his mission.
FLOURISHING FORGIVENESS – Looking around the scrapyards of what some of us may presently call, our lives, we may wonder how anyone could turn this fragmented landscape into a FLOURISHING FORGIVENESS garden.
There are mounds and possibly mountains of anger, bitterness, brokenness, disappointment, discouragement, lack of FORGIVENESS, etc. All such buried deep within our respective broken-down, somewhat inoperative, shattered and smashed gardens of life now turned junkyards. Only a miracle could repair such a field of cracked and crushed dreams.
Our success is dependent not only on our receiving FORGIVENESS from God, but upon us granting FORGIVENESS to ourselves and others. FLOURISHING FORGIVENESS will fertilize our life garden with God’s abundant harvest of LOVE.
Jesus taught more often on money than He did on love or on heaven and hell combined. Why? It’s because money is one of the chief competitors for our affections. “You cannot serve God and money,” He warned. How, then, should Christians view and use money? How should they view and participate in economic systems?
In How Should I Think about Money?, Dr. R.C. Sproul offers much-needed biblical answers to these questions, and in so doing, provides clarity on an important issue in the lives of Christians.
